Hanover Foods Corporation in Centre Hall, PA is seeking a 3rd shift Sanitation Person (Industrial Cleaner) to perform sanitation and deep cleaning across Production and Entrée Departments.

You will follow USDA cleanliness standards, disassemble/assemble equipment, handle cleaners, and assist on different shifts with differential pay. Benefits include medical, dental, prescription drug, and 401(k).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain USDA cleanliness standards.
• Disassemble, scrub, wash, dry, and re-assemble equipment.
• Clean pipes, smokestacks, and ventilation hoods.
• Sanitize and reassemble equipment across plant areas.
• Occasionally operate a forklift and/or electric pallet jack.
• Set up equipment for next day’s production.
• Learn line flow and production in Production and Entrée Departments.
• Keep machinery and work areas clean and compliant with GMPs.
• Handle chemicals safely and monitor pH; maintain chemical storage.
• Follow Master Sanitation Schedule and assist Supervisor as needed.
• Remove trash and debris; maintain good housekeeping.
• Adhere to safety policies and company procedures.

Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesHanover Foods Corporation - Centre Hall, PA, is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Sanitation Person (Industrial Cleaner) responsible for performing a variety of sanitation and deep cleaning functions throughout the Production and Entrée Departments and may assist in general labor functions as operational needs require (possibly on different shifts that will include our Shift Differentials).The hours for this position are 7pm - 5am and considered as 3rd shift. Per our Shift Differentials, this will include a $0.50 2nd Shift Differential when working during the hours of 7pm - 11pm and a $0.75 3rd Shift Differential when working during the hours of 11pm - 5am. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the organization:Responsible for maintaining a high level of USDA cleanliness standards.Responsible for disassembling, scrubbing, washing, drying, and re-assembling various equipment on a routine basis. This includes removing, cleaning, and re-installing pipes, cleaning smokestacks and ventilation hoods.Similar duties apply to cleaning, sanitizing and reassembly of previously disassembled equipment in all areas of the plant, in addition to non-routine sanitations tasks.Operating a forklift and/or electric pallet jack occasionally.Setting up equipment for next day’s production run as required.Assisting and learning to operate various types of equipment and machinery.Learning the line flow and production of many products of the Production and Entrée Departments.Cleaning machinery and work areas as applicable.Becoming familiar with the proper use of chemicals for cleaning, how to check the pH of chemicals, and the proper storage of all chemicals.Performing daily, weekly, and monthly master sanitation cleaning as per the Master Sanitation Schedule and as directed by the Supervisor to ensure the Plant is always audit ready.Removing trash and debris from the Production and Entrée Rooms and disposing of it properly.Adhering to plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.Keeping work areas clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.Responsible for following food safety, legality, and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as: GMP’s, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.Adhering to common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of PPE’s and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.Job Qualifications & Requirements0 to 1 year of experience working in the industrial food industry.1 to 2 years of experience working in sanitation and/or cleaning.Comfortable working with and possesses the basic knowledge of industrial-strength chemical products/cleaners.Ability to read, write and understand the English language; and general skills to satisfactorily complete the job requirements.Ability to communicate clearly.Ability to work with all employees (co-workers and management).Ability to pay attention to detail and be accurate and efficient in recordkeeping.Must physically be able to lift up-to 80 pounds occasionally.Hanover Foods Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Affirmative Action employer.
