Job summary

Parker Hannifin in McCook, Nebraska is seeking an Operator for rubber compound production. You will be fully qualified in one area of compound production such as a mixer operator, mill operator, or compounder and support the hose extrusion process.

Responsibilities include operating mixers, mills, and related equipment, loading materials, performing quality checks, and maintaining safety standards in a high-noise manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mixer to produce batches of rubber compound per schedule/specifications.
• Load raw materials and monitor temps and cycle times during mixing.
• Move materials with forklift and prepare materials for processing.
• Perform routine machine cleanout and setup for upcoming batches.
• Operate mill and festooner to transfer compound to skids for hose production.
• Set mill and cutter to correct thickness and width.
• Prepare slab dip to proper consistency.
• Prepare compound materials and weigh/mix ingredients for the mixer.
• Use forklift to move materials and assist in material handling as needed.
• Collect samples for testing and perform quality checks on the compound.
