Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. is seeking a production technician to operate and optimize polymer production processes in an OSHA PSM environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; tech certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years chemical manufacturing experience; polymer/reaction chemistry preferred.
• Fork Truck Certification and HAZMAT training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs production functions per company standards, including loading product to drums, totes or tanks and transferring in-bound bulk materials.
• Uses equipment and raw materials according to company standards and specifications.
• Performs chemical testing on in-process and finished goods in a lab environment.
• Completes related paperwork, reports, and support functions.
• Performs work under supervisor guidance and communicates significant issues to supervisors.
• Creates work orders for equipment repair activities.
• Performs training of personnel for other production position activities.
• Performs periodic chemical preventive maintenance on heat exchangers, cooling coils/jackets and condensers.
• Troubleshoots process abnormalities using DCS and field sensors and communicates issues toEngineering.
