Job summary

Acero Precision is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Inspector for the 3rd shift in West Chester, PA. You will perform in-process and final inspections of precision-machined components, interpret drawings and GD&T, and verify critical dimensions with precision instruments to ensure customer specifications are met.

You will document results, participate in root-cause analyses, and support continuous improvement within an ISO 9001/13485 framework.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of quality inspection experience in precision machining or a related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments and dimensional inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of precision-machined components across multiple machining cells.
• Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, GD&T, and inspection criteria to verify customer specifications.
• Verify critical dimensions using calipers, micrometers, pin and thread gauges, comparators, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Conduct first-article inspections and document results per established procedures.
• Review inspection reports and production documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify non-conforming product, document quality issues, and collaborate with machinists on corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection equipment and calibration records.
• Support ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management system requirements.
• Identify potential quality issues early and support continuous improvement initiatives.
