Job summary

Actalent seeks a Quality Control Laboratory Technician for the 3rd shift in Kokomo, IN to support testing, inspection, and QA activities in a chemical manufacturing environment. You will evaluate raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and generate accurate laboratory data.

You will operate GC, HPLC, ICP-OES/ICP-MS, UV-Visible spectroscopy, particle size analyzers, rheometers, viscometers, moisture analyzers, and conductivity and pH

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry or related field with hands-on lab experience.
• 2+ years in a laboratory, quality control, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating GC, HPLC, ICP-OES/ICP-MS, UV-Vis, and other analytical instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and quality inspections on materials and products to meet specifications.
• Conduct analytical testing including viscosity, solids, density, moisture, conductivity, particle size, etc.
• Operate GC, HPLC, ICP-OES/ICP-MS, UV-Vis spectroscopy and other instruments.
• Prepare samples per SOPs and quality requirements.
• Record data, analyze results, and communicate findings to teams.
• Identify non-conforming materials and elevate issues as needed.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; troubleshoot as required.
• Support CAPA and root-cause investigations.
• Contribute to process improvement and documentation.
