Job summary

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry Co Inc in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a QA Lab & NDT Technician for a full-time, 3rd shift role. You will perform chemical and mechanical testing on aluminum alloys, conduct industrial X-ray and other non-destructive testing, and verify specs before products leave the plant.

You will document results, support new product launches, perform inspections on sand systems, and provide backup NDT support as needed.

Qualifications

Perform chemical and mechanical testing on aluminum alloys.
Conduct industrial X-ray and non-destructive testing to identify defects.
Document quality results and monitor trends for production.
Test Air Set, Cold Box, Green Sand, and Shell Core systems.
Inspect vendor materials and support first-piece inspections.
Provide backup NDT support including X-ray and chemical analysis.

Responsibilities

Perform chemical and mechanical testing on aluminum alloys to support production.
Conduct industrial X-ray and other non-destructive testing to identify internal defects.
Support new product launches through material testing and first-piece inspections.
Perform and document quality testing on sand systems including physical property testing.
Conduct incoming inspection and testing of vendor materials, record results, and monitor trends.
Provide backup support for NDT operations as needed.
