Job summary

Meijer, a family company, is seeking a warehouse associate for our Lansing distribution center. You will help ensure product integrity from receiving through storage to store shipment, following quality and temperature standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining order and inventory accuracy, coordinating with truck drivers and unloaders, upholding sanitation and safety standards, and performing duties with reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Intermediate computer/technology skills are expected.
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
• A good attendance record and reliable work ethic are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensures order & inventory accuracy via established processes.
• Works with truck drivers and unloaders during receiving and shipping for Fresh and Frozen foods.
• Maintains quality and temperature standards during transfer and storage of products.
• Follows inventory control practices to meet Meijer standards.
• Completes receiving-order-shipping processes accurately.
• Maintains sanitation standards and safety accountability.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsible for complete product integrity during its stay at the distribution center, from the receiving process, through movement and storage within the warehouse, to final store shipment. Ensures that all all products appropriately handled, using knowledge of quality and temperature standards.

What You'll be Doing:

• Ensures order & inventory accuracy via established processes.
• Works with truck drivers and unloaders while performing receiving and shipping processes for Fresh and Frozen foods.
• Ensures quality and temperature standards for all products are maintained during a safe transfer and storage process.
• Follows established inventory control practices to ensure all Meijer standards are met.
• Accurately completes receiving-order-shipping processes.
• Ensures building sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
• Practices 200% safety accountability.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):
