Job summary

The Plant Production Technician at Integrated Proteins, LLC is responsible for producing protein meal for dry pet foods at a Kansas City facility. Tasks include sampling, inspecting trailers, loading/unloading, operating equipment, and maintaining sanitation and safety in accordance with cGMP and OSHA.

Responsibilities include collecting samples for lab analyses, completing required paperwork, and ensuring equipment operates without issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from waist to crown occasionally.
• Ability to shovel up to 50 pounds of animal protein and toss it approximately 3 feet.
• Ability to frequently climb ladders and walk up several flights of stairs.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift. The work schedule may be over 8 hours per day.
• Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to kneel, crouch, or bend to complete an assignment.
• Ability to work overhead.
• Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

• The Plant Production Technician carries out production of protein meal for dry pet foods.
• Take samples, inspect dry vans and bulk hopper trailers, handle loading/unloading and equipment cleaning.
• Follow labor safety, cGMP, and OSHA training and complete paperwork for trailer inspections and product movements.
• Maintain good housekeeping and wear protective clothing as required.
• Report safety or food safety issues to supervisor.
