Job summary

Shoals Technologies Group is seeking a hands-on Lead, Manufacturing to coordinate daily production activities and guide hourly associates in our Tennessee facilities. You will set up lines, ensure adherence to customer specs, and keep production on schedule while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of lead experience, strong organizational skills, and proficient using Excel/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, push, bend for 10+ hours daily.
• Experience supervising hourly manufacturing associates preferred.
• Must meet production schedules and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, facilitates, and directs daily activities of hourly manufacturing associates.
• Set up the production line to customer specifications and coordinate with departments.
• Ensure parts are produced according to schedule and orders.
• Communicate safety, quality, and production issues with supervisor or management.
• Coordinate housekeeping activities of area.
• Provide necessary training to new associates and document it.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve delays in the shift.
• Work with supervisors to address inefficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Duties:

• Coordinates, facilitates, and directs the daily activities of hourly manufacturing Associates.
• Set up the production line to the specification of the customer’s order and work closely with various departments to ensure that parts are manufactured according to customer’s specifications.
• Makes sure that appropriate parts and quantity of parts are being run according to production schedule.
• Communicates any safety, quality, and/or production related issues with Supervisor or appropriate management representative.
• Coordinate housekeeping activities of area.
• Provides necessary training to new associates and documents said training.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve delays in the shift
• Work with Supervisor and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices.
• Excel/ERP (Hand Scanner is a plus)
• Computer Skills (Basic Outlook, Word, and Excel knowledge) GP a plus.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of previous lead experience

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, push, bend and/or squat for 10+ hours in a day.
• Must be able to lift up to 25-50 Ibs at a time.
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.
