Job summary

A. O. Smith is seeking a 3rd shift Production Supervisor to oversee the Manufacturing Department, direct plant workers, and ensure daily production schedules are met. You will work with leaders, engineers and quality personnel to deliver quality products.

Required include a High School Diploma or GED, a Bachelor’s degree preferred, and 3+ years of related experience with 1+ year in supervision. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
• 1+ year of supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
• Valid forklift driver’s license and valid driver’s license.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe workplace and notify HR of emergencies.
• Investigate injuries and support corrective procedures.
• Coordinate cross-training and manufacturing training programs.
• Analyze production schedules and plan man-hours accordingly.
• Ensure timely completion of production schedules and subassemblies.
• Maintain product quality per company guidelines and specifications.
