Job summary
Top Echelon Software, LLC. is seeking a Shift Supervisor for a large international chemical producer near Chicago, Batavia, IL. The role oversees a dozen operators across several process areas on a brand-new 3rd shift, balancing floor leadership with scheduling, reporting and coordination from a central control room.
You will drive safety, batch scheduling, material handling and deviation resolution while shaping how the shift runs in a highly automated, continuous processing environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field or 5+ years leading people in hands-on chemical processing.
- Experience with continuous process industries and automated control systems.
- Shift leadership experience in chemical or similar industrial manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Direct a crew of operators across several process areas.
- Get ahead of reaction issues and process deviations and make decisions when needed.
- Set batch schedules and coordinate inbound material handling.
- Watch process systems from the control room and enforce standards.
- Document shifts and deviations; plan manual work as needed.
- Own safety, housekeeping and operating standards for the shift.
