Job summary

QPS Employment Group has a great Production Supervisor position available in Wentzville, MO. This is a 3rd shift role from 10:45pm to 6:45am with potential for hire.

The role requires leadership of production staff, attendance and performance management, and adherence to health and safety standards including OSHA requirements. Blueprint reading and IATF 16949 familiarity are assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in production/manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with IATF 16949 requirements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Previous supervisory or management experience is a plus.
• Blueprint reading knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to production staff, including attendance and performance management.
• Lead continuous improvement and set up/tear down of new processes.
• Communicate with other Supervisors on production and quality matters.
• Investigate and address unsafe acts or conditions; ensure OSHA compliance.
• Ensure nonconforming products are handled per procedure.
• Enforce rules of conduct and complete timely performance reviews.
• Perform other duties as required.

Position Title: Production SupervisorWage: $27.58 per hourShift: 3rdHours: 10:45pm-6:45am (Sun-Thurs)QPS Employment Group has a great Production Supervisor position available at a company in Wentzville, MO. This is a 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire.Production Supervisor Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Provide leadership and direction to production employees which includes attendance management and performance management. Hand out daily job travelers to employees.- Be visible and assume leadership in continuous improvement ensuring new associate training considering job procedures, quality, health and safety. Responsible for new process set up and tear down.- Verbally and by completing the Production Lead reports, communicate with other Production Supervisors in matters relating to production and quality.- Investigate, report and take corrective action to address identified unsafe acts or conditions.- Comply with OSHA requirements and take every reasonable precaution reasonable for the protection of workers.- Ensure all nonconforming products are handled as per the Nonconforming Material Procedure.- Ensure associates follow all rules and codes of conduct including incident/accident reporting, documentation and proper care.- Ensure employees follow all rules of conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook.- Complete performance review in a timely manner for hourly associates.- Other duties as required.Production Supervisor Requirements:- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, further education an asset.- Must have experience in production and / or manufacturing environment.- Familiar with IATF 16949 requirements.- Demonstrated organizational, communication and computer skills.- Previous supervisory or management role and problem-solving skills is an asset.- Must have blueprint reading knowledge.- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislative requirements and housekeeping practices.IND124About us:QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
