Georgia-Pacific is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our Sheboygan, WI team. You will drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement while developing people and coordinating closely with maintenance, quality, and commercial partners.

We value proactive leadership and strong communication, ensuring hourly employees are coached, held accountable, and equipped to meet production goals in a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising employees in manufacturing, production, or similar environment.
• Proven ability to coach and develop a team.
• Experience with corrugated packaging/production environments or converting operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead an operating team ensuring safety, health, and quality standards.
• Promote safety by engaging employees, identifying hazards, and implementing mitigations; investigate incidents.
• Coach and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production.
• Minimize waste and ensure best practices at machine centers.
• Coordinate cross-department interactions to ensure on-time, quality production.
• Plan, assign, and direct work for all hourly production staff and provide feedback.

What You Will Do

• Lead an operating team in compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality


• Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigating strategies; investigate incidents and participate in the resolution of causes


• Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production


• Ensure best practices are followed for the minimization of waste at machine centers


• Address key issues and concerns and interact with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time production


• Plan, assign, and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance and provide feedback as needed; assist in resolving complaints; hold employees accountable as needed; communicate issues and results daily

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience supervising employees within a manufacturing, production, industrial, or military environment


• Experience coaching and developing a team


• Experience working in the corrugated packaging/containerboard industry on a corrugator OR in a converting operation


• Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
