Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficient MS Office applications; Power BI experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Job description

In this role, you’ll champion Parker’s Corporate WIN Strategy by managing and improving the safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement of a high-performance production area.

You’ll develop and support your team through hands‑on leadership—training and coaching employees, assigning and prioritizing work, coaching and developing your team, building cross‑training plans, and addressing performance concerns in line with company policies. You’ll also collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization and work with customers and external partners as needed.

Essential Functions:
  • Create a psychologically safe team culture, promote safety as a core value, and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Lead and facilitate the transition from home to work: set the tone at the start of each shift by ensuring team members are mentally and physically ready, clear on priorities, and focused on safety and quality.
  • Know and develop your people: understand each team member’s strengths, challenges, and aspirations, and provide coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities to build capability and engagement.
  • Check the Process: regularly verify the standard work is followed utilizing Parker lean tools.
  • Continuous Improvement: remove barriers to performance and lead your team in identifying and implementing improvements to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement through lean Kaizen events.
  • Develop and deploy standard work and work instructions of assigned department(s).
  • Conduct tiered-level meetings to confirm daily plans including staffing to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals and meeting customer expectations.
  • Ensure quality standards are met that emphasize and focus on continuous improvement in an effort to improve manufacturing capability and reduce rework and scrap. Coordinate corrective action activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate time management records of all team members in Kronos.
  • Hold team members accountable to adhere to company policies and procedures and provide corrective coaching as needed.
  • Perform capacity analysis and determine staffing requirements for the assigned production area.
  • Will lead and support a High‑Performance Team culture and foster inclusion and engagement.
  • 3+ years previous supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Prior experience with lean tools preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office required; knowledge of Power BI, MSS, time keeping systems preferred.
  • Must have ability to effectively work with people in a team environment and at various levels of the organization.
  • Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong leader who can effectively mentor others on knowledge and expertise.
