Compensation Range: $78,000 - $104,000

About the role

TheAssistant Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the activitiesof the K2 Processing side, Refinery, Bleaching, RX, Hydro, L1, FOL andinventory. They are also responsible for tracking products ran from theschedule, the enforcement of company rules, ensuring that all employees areworking safely, tracking product rates, training new employees, and keeping thework place in a clean and orderly manner. This will include organization andFIFO of received materials and supplies.

Responsibilities
Safety & Environmental Performance
  • Leadthe safety effort by personal example.
  • Supportfull plant wide compliance with safety rules to further our goal of 0accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near misses.
  • Supportcontractors during major construction or anytime maintenance contractorsare on site.
  • Identifyhigh-risk safety/productivity issues and help remedy them.
  • Adhereto SOPs and other work procedures as required to assure product quality andconsistency to our customers.
  • Keepemployees supplied with the essential tools, materials and informationrequired for the products we are packing at the time.
  • EnforceGMP compliance.
  • Reportany environmental issues to the immediate supervisor and EHS manager inorder to correct any issues immediately.
WorkRequirements
  • Ensureeach employee is working in a safe environment and have each employeeunderstand job safety is job priority number one
  • Oversee production personnel, processes andproductivity
  • Estimate product status and completion of schedule
  • Oversee and estimate staffing needs to maintain production productivity
  • Look for better ways to be more proficient, efficient and cost effective in staffing personnel, the cross training of personnel to fill in without the use of overtime
  • Responsible for making sure employees aretrained properly, job knowledgeable and able to perform job adequately toprovide customers a superior product
  • Executework in a safe and expedient manner according to the following priorities:
  • Report safety hazards and issues
  • Educate and motivate personnel about safety in Safety Is Job Priority Number One
  • Present ideas for a safer work environment such as improvement to processes
  • Providepractical solutions to operations/ controls problems.
  • Trainemployees in light of their needs and company needs.
  • Lookfor opportunities to help work get done safer, faster and more costeffective.
  • Monitorthe pack schedule for product changes.
  • Keeptrack of product rates.
  • Assignjob duties as needed.
  • Keephourly rates and amounts of products packed and also track down time,
  • Enforcenon-compliance procedures (safety issues/ideas, production status,employee issues, equipment issues & other plant related issues.
CostControl
  • Eliminateemployee injuries by educating safety first
  • Contributeto the effort in controlling costs and minimizing waste in product andshrinkage.
  • Supportgoal of minimum employee staffing and still be able to have massproduction.
  • Support goal ofcross training personnel to fill in gaps reducing overtime.
  • Try and devise newSOP’s and adjust processes to make production more efficient.
About you
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Microsoft Office and basic computer knowledge
  • Good communication skills, able to motivate team members, be a good trainer and teacher, and have a good mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have good math and reasoning ability.
  • Able to apply general mathematical calculations, analysis of variance and other basic standard equations as required.
