Job summary

Tyson Foods in Indiana is seeking a General Production Worker to process, screen, and package product while following safety, GMP, and quality standards. The role requires adherence to hygiene standards and teamwork, with rotation across corn and flour departments.

Starting pay is $19.20 per hour with shift increases for 2nd and 3rd shifts. 3rd shift runs 11:00pm–7:00am, and employees will receive training and must follow company policies and safety programs throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand GMP operation standards, manuals, and related documentation.
• Must be able to follow direction and stay on task with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to effectively communicate to colleagues and management in professional manner.
• Must be willing to train new hires and transferred team members.

Responsibilities

• Inspect product on various lines to check for foreign material and to make sure product meets customer specifications such as proper color, size, shape, etc.
• Properly stack product to maintain accurate case counts for each product.
• Assemble and tape boxes in fast pace to keep up with production lines.
• Pack product in boxes based on customer specifications, ensuring proper weight and product count.
• Must be willing to learn all general production positions as positions will rotate on regular basis throughout shift and may include both departments (corn and flour).
• Must correctly follow general manufacturing, safety, and quality processes.
