Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. (NPAA) seeks a Production Operator for its Small Paint Plant (SPP) on the 3rd shift in Lansing, IL. You will fill batches using automated equipment, load cells, mixers, and supporting equipment, while adhering to SOPs and safety rules.

You must be flexible to train on 1st or 2nd shift, and you will operate forklifts and participate in improvement teams to drive quality and efficiency in production.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to train on 1st or 2nd shift.
• Experience with batch filling or filling equipment.
• Ability to operate forklift safely.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs, batch tickets, process sheets and safety policies.
• Operate equipment to fill batches, including automated pail filling systems and mixers.
• Fill finished goods into containers with proper labeling according to IDs.
• Move materials using a forklift and support production in other areas.
• Contribute ideas in improvement teams and identify corrective actions for off-quality products.
• Use company IT systems (SAP, MS Access, MS Office) to complete orders.
• Maintain housekeeping in production areas and keep equipment in good condition.
