Job summary

Pelton Shepherd Industries in Columbus, Ohio seeks a Production Mechanic to maintain and repair production equipment, ensuring uptime, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, disassemble and rebuild components, and collaborate with the team on reliability improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of mechanical or maintenance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment running at peak performance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly to minimize downtime
• Repair, replace, and rebuild machine components with precision
• Disassemble, clean, lubricate, and reassemble production equipment
• Identify potential failures before they happen and take proactive action
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation
• Keep tools, parts, and shop areas clean, organized, and ready for use
• Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance efficiently
• Support new product launches by modifying equipment and conducting test runs
• Collaborate with other technical experts to improve equipment reliability and performance
• Operate production equipment as needed and assist in training operators

Qualifications
