Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components according to detailed schematics and drawings.
  • Use precision instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, welding and fabrication equipment safely.
  • Read wiring diagrams and fabrication blueprints to guide assembly.
  • Inspect quality throughout production process.
  • Move materials with forklift as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

PrideStaff is hiring Production Assemblers for a well-known reputable company in Knox County!

  • 3rd Shift: Sun-Thurs night 11pm-7:30am (overtime as required)
  • Training will be on 1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
  • Starting Pay Rate: $21-23/hr.
Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Production Assemblers to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and inspecting components to ensure they meet precise specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical components accurately according to detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and fabrication blueprints to guide assembly processes.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Utilize forklift trucks for material handling within the warehouse or manufacturing floor.
  • Assist with machining, soldering, welding, and other fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols and best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members in warehouse management and production workflows to meet daily targets.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies or safety hazards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in manufacturing or assembly environments with a focus on mechanical assembly.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with schematics, blueprints reading, fabrication techniques, welding, soldering, machining, and use of hand tools.
  • Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with warehouse operations including forklift operation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards and safety regulations in industrial settings.
  • Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience with welding or fabricating metal components is advantageous. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of quality in our manufacturing processes. We welcome candidates who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute their skills toward producing exceptional products.
  • Past experience in commercial woodworking (doors, millwork, cabinets, etc.) is a plus
  • Past experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment
