Job summary

NSP in Owasso, OK is seeking a Pre-Op Micro Technician for 3rd shift (11:00 am–8:00 am, weekends as needed). You will support sanitation under GMP/SSOP, perform pre-operational inspections, swabs, and FSQA checks, and assist with sample prep and data entry in Excel.

Responsibilities include documenting results, organizing paperwork, and communicating issues to the Sanitation Manager. Requirements: tint 1+ year QA/food safety in meat processing, HACCP/GMP/SSOP knowledge, and proficiency with

Qualifications

Quality Assurance and Food Safety experience of 1+ years in meat processing or value-added food processing.
Strong working knowledge of Quality Systems including HACCP, GMP, SSOP
HACCP Certified within six months.
Must be self-starter and self-motivated with minimal direct supervision.
Knowledge of prerequisite programs.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
English reading/writing; Spanish helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Verify sanitation performance via monitoring of Sanitation GMPs and pre-operational inspections.
Swab equipment and prepare samples for lab testing.
Record environmental testing data and trend in databases / Excel.
Organize and review daily paperwork and prep filing.
Coordinate with Sanitation Manager and FSQA Director on issues.
Other duties as assigned.
