Job summary

Summit Polymers, Inc. in Vicksburg, MI is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to maintain and repair injection molding equipment and related systems.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical components within a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years in manufacturing, and preferably a Journeyman card.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman card preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related manufacturing experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and/or mechanical systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repair of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on injection molding equipment and support lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Mentor and oversee apprentices.
• Address safety issues related to equipment and facilities.
• Document maintenance activities and root-cause actions.
