Job summary

Triple Cities Metal Finishing is seeking a Plating Line Operator to join our team in New York. You will set up, operate, and tend plating tanks, monitor solution concentrations, and adjust current and voltage to control the plating process, ensuring quality and safety.

Responsibilities include visual inspection for defects, rack/unrack parts, perform routine equipment maintenance, and collaborate with the production team to maintain smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail required for precise plating
• Strong communication, both written and verbal
• Ability to identify problems and suggest solutions
• Basic math and computer skills; use testing tools and machinery
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ensure products meet stringent quality standards

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend plating tanks
• Perform regular chemical additions to maintain solution concentrations
• Immerse parts in plating tanks according to specifications
• Adjust controls to regulate current and voltage for the plating process
• Observe gauges and stop machines when needed to prevent issues
• Rack and un-rack parts; perform equipment maintenance and housekeeping
• Visually inspect plated parts for defects and verify compliance with work instructions
• Coordinate with production team to maintain smooth workflow and provide feedback to supervisor
• Adhere to PPE and safety protocols and maintain a safe work area
