Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the Pittsfield, MA area to oversee the 3rd shift in a fast-paced plastics injection molding operation. The role focuses on safe and efficient production, quality control, and developing the production team.

Occasional extended hours may be required to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership experience in manufacturing, strong coaching skills, and the ability to drive performance and continuous improvement across shifts

Qualifications

• 1+ year of lead or supervisor experience in manufacturing environment.
• Machine operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production employees to achieve daily production goals, quality standards, and safety objectives.
• Plan, assign, and monitor work activities to maximize productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration across shifts and departments.
• Partner with Quality, Processing, Material Handling, Shipping, Maintenance, Engineering, and other teams to resolve production issues and improve workflow.
• Train, mentor, and develop employees to improve performance, engagement, and technical skills.
• Monitor production schedules, equipment downtime, scrap rates, and operational performance, implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and communicate process improvements to management and engineering teams.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide regular coaching and feedback.
• Review employee attendance, timekeeping, and payroll-related information for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production reports, shift documentation, and operational records
