Job summary

Sensient Technologies is seeking a Plant Sanitarian for our Livingston, California facility. The role involves hands-on sanitation tasks, cleaning equipment and areas, and working in wet, hot, and humid environments.

The position is third shift with flexible hours and seasonal production schedules. Responsibilities include following lock-out tag-out procedures, assembling/disassembling equipment, operating sanitation tools, and documenting tasks on the sanitation schedule.

Qualifications

• Adaptability to do different activities each day with strong attention to detail.
• Interest in being part of an effective and productive manufacturing process.
• Ability to read, write with desire to continually learn and improve.
• Knowledge of Industrial Safety and Hygiene guideline with previous experience in plant production sites with added plus of exposure to food industry.

Responsibilities

• Follow Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment using various hand and power tools.
• Have knowledge of cleaning with chemical use and purpose.
• Document completion of tasks on respective master Sanitation schedule.
• Ability to drive a Genie Boom, operate a scissor lift, floor scrubber, power washer/ice blaster.
