Job summary

The University of Kentucky HealthCare (UKHC) Pharmacy Senior Technician I works on the 3rd shift to support perioperative medications. You will assist pharmacists, compound sterile and non-sterile products, and distribute medications from the OR pharmacy satellite across PreOp/PACU, Main OR, Cath Lab, CAS, Labor and Delivery, Endoscopy and Interventional Radiology.

Requires a high school diploma, 1 year related experience, and national technician certification (PTCB or NHA) with Kentucky Board

Qualifications

• HS required.
• 1 year related experience preferred.
• Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); registered with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in perioperative hospital setting.
• Compound complex sterile and non-sterile products.
• Distribute medications from OR pharmacy satellite; support PreOp/PACU, Main OR, Cath Lab, CAS, Labor & Delivery, Endoscopy, and Interventional Radiology.
