Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Deer Park, NY is seeking a Production Worker to support fast-paced packaging operations. You will assist machine operators, monitor quality, set up materials, and maintain a clean work area while prioritizing safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a willingness to learn manufacturing processes, and flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts with overtime and on weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong desire to advance within the industry.
• Corrugated box manufacturing a plus; familiarity with Flexo, Gluers, Rotaries, Clamp Trucks and Forklifts are a plus.
• Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts; overtime including weekends.
• Math skills will be assessed.
• This position requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and crouching.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility.
• Focus on customer success and career development within manufacturing.
• Be the third team member assigned to a machine in Production Department.
• Support operators on different machinery and assist other areas as needed.
• Ensure tooling is on hand and assist with setups and jam-ups; keep area clean and safe.
