Smurfit Westrock is hiring for Shipping Department General Help on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Starting wage is $22.10 per hour with potential increases after probation and after the 60-day onboarding period.

The role involves set-up, operation, and supervision of packaging equipment, plus on-the-job training and advancement to higher-paying positions. New hires will rotate through shifts initially and receive safety and quality training from experienced crew members.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work safely, read a tape measure, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packaging machinery.
• Monitor production output and quality; troubleshoot issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and document activities.
• Follow safety protocols and work with team to meet targets.
• Be available for daily overtime, weekends, and multiple shifts.
