Job summary

Perrigo Company plc in New York seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot packaging and manufacturing equipment. You will complete work orders, perform preventive maintenance, set up and repair equipment, and report findings to supervision.

The role requires hands-on mechanical experience or Perrigo Set-Up Tech progress with related studies, plus certifications in mechanical engineering or troubleshooting. We offer training and growth in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of hands-on mechanical experience with packaging equipment in pharmaceutical, food, packaging, or a similar manufacturing environment; successful completion of an accredited certification in mechanical engineering, mechanical design, or troubleshooting.
• OR
• Three (3) years as a Perrigo Set-Up Tech plus at least two years of completed education and active enrollment in a Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Electromechanical Engineering program at an accredited university/college.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily Maintenance Tracker and inform Master Mechanic or supervisor of walk-throughs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all packaging, compounding, and warehouse equipment.
• Carry out repairs as required (MTCE) and train production personnel on proper equipment use.
• Set up equipment, fine-tune, and troubleshoot using root-cause analysis methods.
