• 5 years hands-on mechanical experience with packaging equipment (pharmaceutical, food, packaging, or similar manufacturing).
• Completed accredited certification program in mechanical engineering/design/troubleshooting.
• OR 3 years as a Perrigo Set Up Tech plus at least 2 years completed education in Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Electromechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot packaging and compounding equipment per SOPs.

Job description

Description Overview

• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical aspects of manufacturing and packaging equipment and facilities per standard operating procedures.
• Complete work orders performing skilled maintenance activities.
• Conduct maintenance, repairs, improvements, set-ups, troubleshooting, follow-up, Root Cause Analysis, and Reliability Maintenance on packaging and compounding equipment; report to supervisor.
• Handle special assignments/projects as directed by Maintenance Supervisor, Master Mechanic, or Manager.
• Work rotational schedules as required and perform overtime when needed.
• Work under little to general supervision; use initiative and independent judgment.

Scope of the Role

• Complete daily Maintenance Tracker and conduct area walk-throughs.
• Perform preventive maintenance for packaging, compounding, and warehouse equipment.
• Repair packaging and compounding equipment (MTCE).
• Train production personnel on proper equipment use.
• Set up, fine-tune, and troubleshoot equipment using Root Cause Analysis methods.

Experience Required

• 5 years hands-on mechanical experience with packaging equipment (pharmaceutical, food, packaging, or similar manufacturing).
• Completed accredited certification program in mechanical engineering/design/troubleshooting, etc.
• OR
• 3 years as a Perrigo Set Up Tech plus at least 2 years completed education and active enrollment in a Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Electromechanical Engineering program (accredited).
