Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Utility Support on the 3rd shift to oversee the overall production quality of the machine and its output. Responsibilities include monitoring adhesion checks, registration alignment, line clearance, and monthly maintenance tasks while adhering to safety and company procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to read safety manuals, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 3rd shift.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Must have prior die cut experience.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor starch adhesion on the SF side with the X test quality check.
• Monitor glue adhesion on the DF side with the edge pull quality checks.
• Monitor front/back & side to side registration and communicate adjustments to operators.
• Understand line clearance, next order setup and all controls on the stacker sections.
• Perform monthly PM tasks on the stacker section of the machine.
• Work safely and efficiently per company policies and procedures.
• Assist the operators as required.
• Work overtime as required.
