Job summary

PAC Worldwide is seeking an Operator Assistant for the 3rd shift (11:00pm–7:00am, Sunday–Thursday) to assist the machine operator with setup and packing according to customer specifications. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient production, with duties ranging from basic machine setup to quality checks and packaging tasks.

The ideal candidate should have 9–18 months of manufacturing experience, be able to read work instructions, and perform basic math and data entry.

Qualifications

Must be a Packer II or have relevant experience.
Must be capable of reading work instructions and safety rules.
Must be capable of reading a ruler.
Must be able to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or its equivalency desired.
At least 9-18 months of manufacturing work history desired.

Responsibilities

Pack product off machine per orientation on stacking diagrams.
Pack product into cartons without deforming the product.
Ensure carton quantity is correct and every carton is labeled appropriately.
Measure and test product.
Identify defects in product and notify operator, stopping machinery when defects are not corrected.
Maintain a pace that keeps up with machine throughput capabilities.
Remove start-ups and screen for defects.
Inspect and clear bag overflow area and complete quality checks.
