Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, IN, is seeking a Calibration Technician in Engineering to perform routine and non-routine instrument calibrations on processing and packaging equipment onsite.

Reporting to the Calibration Manager, the role supports manufacturing and quality teams, participates in lean initiatives, and requires PPE and ability to stand for long hours. This is a 3rd shift, full-time, on-site position in a regulated cGMP environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA preferred.
• Must wear PPE, including respirator.
• May be required to work with pressurized equipment, hot surfaces.
• May be required to work in confined spaces.
• Position requires standing for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate calibration support to manufacturing, packaging, quality, and other departments where cGMP equipment and instruments are used.
• Set-up standards and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate instruments – including researching instrument specification and calibration techniques for new equipment.
• Adjusts/repairs instruments to meet calibration tolerance requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement functions (lean initiatives) to increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings and improve quality.

Education

High school diploma

Associate Degree (AA) preferred
