Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Calibration Technician to perform routine and non-routine instrument calibrations on processing and packaging equipment.

Reporting to the Calibration Manager, this 3rd shift role requires attention to safety, PPE, and cGMP standards, with duties spanning setup, testing, adjustment, and participation in lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA preferred.
• Must wear PPE, including a respirator.
• Ability to work with pressurized equipment and hot surfaces.
• Position requires standing for long hours and potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate calibration support to manufacturing, packaging, quality, and other departments where cGMP equipment and instruments are used.
• Set-up standards and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate instruments; research specifications and techniques for new equipment.
• Adjusts/repairs instruments to meet calibration tolerance requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement functions (lean initiatives) to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
