Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a 3rd shift cook to assist the Executive Chef and the Production Coordinator in preparing all hot foods for patients, the cafeteria, and catered events, using standardized recipes. You will also prepare meals for modified diets.

This role participates in Quality Improvement activities within the Nutrition Services Department, maintains sanitary production areas, operates equipment safely, and supports exceptional customer service during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent, required.
• One year professional cooking experience, required.
• Familiarity with nutrition-related software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for hot production by assembling ingredients.
• Cook products according to standardized recipes.
• Operate food production equipment (ovens, vertical cutter mixer, etc.).
• Maintain sanitary standards of the production area according to procedures.
• Assist in creating special preparations for catered events as needed.
