Job summary

Caterpillar in Sanford, NC is seeking a 3rd shift Welder 3 to support the assembly line with MIG welding, tooling, and basic ERP tasks. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of MIG welding experience.
• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to create tools, jigs and fixtures independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual MIG welding on steel and prepare materials.
• Repair tooling/fixtures and address line issues.
• Move heavy components using lifting devices.
• Read and follow blueprints and prints.
• Support Continuous Improvement and CPI initiatives.
• Maintain a safe work area and communicate effectively.
