Job summary

Shaffer Peerless in Ohio is seeking a Machine Assembler for the 3rd shift (overnights) to assemble mixers, sandwiching equipment, mixes & batter lines, and product handling systems. You will fit parts to close tolerances using hand tools and maintain a clean, organized work area to support high-quality equipment production.

The role requires a high school diploma, mechanical assembly experience, reading drawings, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly with hand tools and close tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Assemble industrial food equipment including mixers and product handling systems.
• Adjust, trim and fit parts to close tolerances and ensure proper alignment.
• Use hand tools to perform assembly tasks with dexterity.
• Make minor procedural decisions related to fitting within guidelines.
• Inspect assembled components to ensure conformity to specifications.
• Suggest process improvements and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Support other manufacturing activities to meet production schedules.
