Hospital Central Services Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Utility Mechanic for the 3rd shift at our Allentown, PA facility. The role focuses on multi-trade maintenance of steam, water, and mechanical systems, with a starting hourly rate of $27.11–$31.57 plus a $0.60 shift differential.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma with at least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience on laundry equipment.
• Technical school or approved training in maintenance disciplines (pipe fitting, steam systems, electrical, plumbing, mechanical repair, safety requirements).
• Ability to communicate across teams and willingness to perform other duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-trade repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance on steam, water, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect equipment, assess conditions, and implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate daily records of work performed.
• Identify and report parts or equipment needs to initiate purchases.
• Use PPE at all times.
