Job summary

Judd Wire Inc. in Turners Falls, MA is seeking a 3rd Shift Material Handler. You will perform material movement, inspect and weigh scrap, and maintain reels and pallets. The role requires basic math and measuring tools, with PIV training after hire.

The position is on the 3rd shift with a pay range of $19.81–$23.44/hour plus a $3.00/hour differential. OSHA safety rules apply and you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 month’s transferrable experience.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Be a team player, enjoy detailed work and willing to learn.
• Knowledge of ordinary arithmetic including decimals, fractions, and simple use of specifications with measuring instruments.
• Moderate physical effort with frequent lifting and standing; exposure to noise, fumes, dust.
• PIV Training and certification will be completed after hire.

Responsibilities

• Work from movement documents, instructions, and scanning device.
• Transfer wire using fork truck or manually as instructed.
• Ensure proper transfer of product.
• Maintain reels and pallets for operations.
• Weigh and record scrap as required.
• Detect and report defective materials or unsafe conditions.
• Observe safety rules and keep work areas clean.
