Job summary

Judd Wire, Inc. in Turners Falls, MA is hiring a Spark Operator for the 3rd shift. You will set up the sparking machine, measure conductors, inspect insulation, test with voltage equipment, and ensure reels meet specifications. Physical work with up to 50 lb lifts and standing for long periods is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of arithmetic including decimals and fractions.
• Team player who enjoys detailed work and is eager to learn.
• Physical ability to handle lifting up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate sparking machine and set up wire/cable for sparking.
• Inspect and measure conductor size and insulation to spec.
• Test wire with voltage tester and check for shorts or breaks.
• visually inspect for defects and tag reels per spec
• Maintain clean work area and report abnormal conditions.
