Job summary

Olympic Steel, Inc. in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a Material Handler for the plasma area on the 3rd shift. Responsibilities include moving WIP, staging finished goods, loading trucks, receiving raw materials, and preparing paperwork.

Role requires forklift experience, high school diploma, and ability to operate a handheld plasma cutter and acetylene torch. Overhead crane and rigging are used as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience required.
• Acetylene torch and handheld plasma experience preferred.
• Proper use and care of precision instruments.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Move work-in-progress material on the production floor and manage finished goods staging.
• Prepare paperwork and materials for production on the floor.
• Operate forklift, handheld plasma, and acetylene torch as needed.
• Assist with scrap handling and overhead crane operations (5 & 10 ton) and rigging.”
