We are hiring Material Handlers (Hi-Lo Drivers) to join our team! This position performs daily operation of a fork truck for the purpose of transporting materials throughout the facility in support of production requirements.
What You'll Do
- Operate a fork truck in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform prestart-up check list
- Operate the Floor Scrubber
- Operate the chip dryer equipment
- Maintain an organized and clean area of the chip barn
- Responsible for checking truck daily for lubrication, fuel, and other items as necessary for the proper maintenance of the vehicle
- May be required to load and unload materials by hand if necessary
- Required to use current methods of quality control and to participate in team projects as necessary
- Regularly scheduled follow up training and competency evaluation will take place annually and be included with an employee’s annual evaluation summary and maintained by HR in the employee records
- Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor
- When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job
- Load and unload materials, in and out bound, onto common carriers (if required)
- Perform inventory cycle counts (if required)
- Transport, in approved containers, any and all materials
- Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
- Operate dock levelers
- Stack, neatly and evenly, baskets, bins, pallets, or containers in designated areas
- Perform special assignments as required
- General Housekeeping, sweeping, mopping, trash, and other duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience driving a hi-lo preferred but not required
