Job summary

Magna International Limited seeks a skilled forklift operator onsite in California. You will safely handle forklift operations, position loads, and ensure accurate inventory control within SAP Shop Floor systems. Adherence to safety protocols is essential.

The role offers comprehensive benefits typical for Magna’s onsite facilities and requires a high school diploma or GED. Eligible candidates must obtain a valid forklift license within one week of hire and participate in ongoing safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must hold or obtain a valid driver’s license; forklift license to be obtained within 1 week of hire.
• Experience with SAP Shop Floor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow, comply, and enforce all operational procedures and policies in Magna Environmental Health and Safety programs.
• Safely position forks/lifting platform and transport load to designated area.
• Use knowledge of operating safety rules, practices and truck stability with/without a load.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and maintain good housekeeping.
• Scan, label, reconcile and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Cross-train in respected departments as needed and perform other duties as required.

Job Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:

• Follow,comply,and enforce all operational procedures/policies asstatedin the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).
• Safely position forks/ lifting platform under, over, or around loaded racks and transport load todesignatedarea.
• Use knowledge of principles of operating safety rules and practices.
• Use truck stability factors with and without a load.
• Consistently perform proper pre-shift inspection every shift.
• Follow good housekeeping practices.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to scan, label, reconcile.
• Demonstrate knowledge of parking and shut down procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of process flow in Flow Rack system.
• Capable of beingcross-trainedas needed in respecteddepartment.
• Perform other duties asrequired.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GEDrequired

WORK EXPERIENCE/ TECHNICAL TRAINING:

• Hold or obtain a validdriver’s license.Current forklift license to be obtained within 1 week of hired.Documented proof of training every three years for maintenance offorklift/truck license must bemaintained.
• Must be able to perform Scanning and proper inventory control.
• Knowledge of the capabilities of the equipment and attachments.
• Knowledge of purpose,useand limitations of controls.
• Knowledge of Federal and State Standards andrules.
• Knowledge of SAP Shop Floor.
