Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read work orders and determine parts needed for uninterrupted production.
• Ability to read and speak English proficiently, and have basic math and computer skills.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
• Experience with inventory control, ERP systems, or RF scanners.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Machine Operators are supplied with necessary materials in a timely manner.
• Operates pallet trucks and other non-powered material handling equipment to transport parts, stock, and supplies to work areas and between departments.
• Orders materials from stock for use on the production floor.
• Operates hoist and carton sealers.
• Lift boxes, totes and parts from pallets and baskets and place them on conveyors or tables.
• Removes empty pallets and trash; keeps area clean and safe.
• At end of shift, ensure machines are stocked and area ready for next shift.
• May perform Machine Operator duties as required.
• Follow all plant safety rules.
