Job summary

Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals in Indianapolis is seeking a 3rd shift production supervisor to lead the Mill Products departments, assign duties, resolve issues, and maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient workflow on the floor.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred), at least 5 years in manufacturing, and 2 years supervisory experience. You will apply Lean manufacturing principles and ERP tools to improve costs and production reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Associates degree in a technical field of studies or equivalent education - Preferred
• Knowledge of Powdered Metals manufacturing or Machining background
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Two years of Supervisory experience preferred or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to the Mill Products departments
• Interface with team members on a daily basis and act as the first line of command in resolving problems and maintaining efficient, orderly workflow
• Ensuring on-time delivery, management of the flow of materials/parts and control of inventory
• Coordinate workloads and department schedules
• Oversees and or conducts training of new and existing employees
• Accurate and timely production reporting
• Continued assessment of cost reduction opportunities through the utilization of resources to remove process costs, improve efficiencies, and develop creative staffing strategies
