Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist for the 3rd shift at our Devens, MA facility. The role supports production process and equipment improvements to reduce downtime and improve quality, partnering with manufacturing and equipment engineering teams to implement and track improvement activities.

Hours are 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. Compensation includes $30-$43/hour plus 15% shift differential, equity, and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient and efficient use of hand tools.
• Electro-mechanical system troubleshooting skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and communicate them to team and management.
• Ability to create and monitor team performance metrics.
• Willingness to work nights/weekends/on-call occasionally.

Responsabilités

• Brainstorm, trial, and implement continuous improvement projects to reduce build hours and defects.
• Work with manufacturing engineers, equipment engineers, and technicians to develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Document manufacturing system downtime (frequency and duration) and troubleshoot to reduce downtime.
• Design, build, and commission electromechanical equipment and tooling for process or efficiency improvements.
• Write and update process work instructions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve nonconformances and production blockers.
• Perform R&D and prototype hardware builds with minimal documentation and oversight using mechanical and precision tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, hand tools).
