Qualifications

• 3 years of welding experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; welding certificate/technical degree preferred.
• Ability to complete an internal welding test.
• Prior MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual MIG welding to fabricate metal parts and assemblies.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and weld standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, work instructions, and specifications.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment as needed.
• Clamp, position, tack weld, grind, bend, or bolt components for welding.
• Inspect and measure completed parts to ensure specifications and quality.
• Use gauges and other measuring tools to verify finished work.
• Identify and correct basic welding or quality issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment and machinery.
• Safely operate lifts, cranes, and other equipment as required.
• Use computers and production systems related to the position.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety standards.
• Assist in other production areas as needed.

Metalcraft of Mayville is looking for an experienced Manual Welder to join our manufacturing team!

In this role, you’ll use your welding skills to fabricate metal parts and assemblies according to blueprints, specifications, and established weld standards. You’ll perform MIG welding, inspect completed work, and make adjustments to ensure every part meets our quality expectations.

We’re looking for someone with strong hands-on welding experience who takes pride in producing quality work, understands welding standards, and is comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
