Job summary

Graphic Packaging International, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Tech I for our Prosperity, SC facility. The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, and fabrication tasks to keep production lines running and safe.

PLC programming and motor control knowledge are valued as you support efficient, reliable operation. You’ll repair, install, and calibrate equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with operators and other technicians to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred in electronic engineering technology, Mechatronics or Industrial Manufacturing.
• 2-5 years of manufacturing maintenance highly preferred.
• Must be able to work 3rd shift; Sunday – Thursday and weekends as business needs dictate.
• Computer skills such as Microsoft Office products, SAP and the ability to learn business specific computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools.
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic circuits, conveyors and production machines.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids and replace filters; perform grounds and facilities maintenance.
• Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments, electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical components, plumbing and machinery.
• Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings and gears.
• Dismantle machinery to access defective parts with hoists and forklifts.
