Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Indiana to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of equipment, machinery, and facility systems. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

You'll work with a range of tools to address mechanical, electrical, and plumbing concerns, collaborating with team members to support overall facility operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• 1 year experience using general hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical
• Respond promptly to maintenance request and emergencies
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
• Other duties as assigned
