The Hershey Company in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to maintain all site equipment and support continuous production. You will work under the Maintenance Manager, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot production equipment, and complete scheduled work orders.

The role requires experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to read manuals/blueprints.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance on production machinery, both minor and major
• Diagnose issues, replace parts, test and adjust equipment
• Supervise outside contractors when needed
• Conduct emergency/unscheduled repairs to minimize downtime

Pay

• Starting at $25.25/hr
• Shift differential of $1.50/hr for 3rd Shift

Shifts

• 3rd Shift: M-F, 2 pm - 10:30 pm ($1.50 shift differential)
• We require that you be flexible to work any shift, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will help to maintain all equipment on site. This person will work under direction of the Maintenance Manager to ensure timelines are met and guidelines are followed. Work alongside of production team members to maintain continuous operations, while producing the highest quality products. They will assemble equipment as it comes in, maintain it through preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment. Completion of any scheduled or unscheduled task / workorders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major maintenance duties as needed in supporting production machinery
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments as necessary
• Supervise work of outside contractors
• Conduct emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures on equipment on a scheduled basis
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Manage tools in the facility and ensure they are kept and returned to the right place
• Clear understanding of OSHA requirements and food industry GMP's
• Other duties as assigned
• Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other personnel and management
• Represent self and company in a professional and positive manner
• Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
• Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of Dot's Pretzels
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner

Required Skills/Abilities

• Experience in electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair required
• Good skill in the use of hand and power tools
• Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals and blueprints
• Preferred experience in a face paced food manufacturing environment
• Preference given to candidates with a 2-year associate degree in electromechanical systems
• Robotics and control experience a plus
• Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to lift 40 pounds repetitively
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand on your feet for an entire shift
• Exposed to food production environment and warehouse environment which may involve noise and fluctuating temperatures.
