Job Overview

PeopleShare is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a direct hire role in a temperature‑controlled manufacturing environment. The position is located in Newark, DE, in a state‑of‑the‑art facility. Flexible 12‑hour rotating shifts provide a great work‑life balance, and you will be part of a team‑oriented culture that values engagement and innovation.

Pay & Hours

• Pay Rate: $30‑34/hr (based on experience) plus shift differential pay
• Day Schedule: 6:45pm – 6:30am (rotating 12‑hour shifts on a 2/2/3 schedule)

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair all types of manufacturing equipment using specialized experience in electrical and PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Upgrade equipment from outdated relay logic to PLC controls by building new panels from wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Maintain a total productive maintenance program that follows the manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
• Assist with handling equipment breakdowns and complete maintenance work requests as needed and assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist in modifications as described in approved project proposals.
• Make local pick‑ups of items required for projects or maintenance projects.
• Utilize time between various stages of major projects to accomplish smaller projects.
• Handle all building maintenance.

Requirements

• Must be able to occasionally work outdoors when working on HVAC units, compressors, and other external equipment.
• Must be able to walk, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, drive, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to comfortably operate shop equipment including power and hand tools.
• Must have good math skills with the ability to read and understand operating instructions and manuals.
• Must be advanced in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer applications.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, be able to transport 50 pounds, operate shop equipment, power tools, and use hand tools.
• Preferred: PLC experience and HMI experience.
